The Chargers blasted the Chiefs in a game that pretty much all of us saw coming. It was a game they had to win against a QB who doesn't have a win as a NFL QB. They proceeded to win the game in a 31-0 shutout. The 49'ers beat the Seahawks by 21 points last week at home to keep their NFC west hopes alive for at least one more week. However as off and on as the Chargers have been this year I still can't imagine their season ending at home to the 49'ers. Alex Smith put together a very solid performance last week in a rather dominating performance by the niners but I doubt he'll be able to get on track as easily against the Chargers, especially without the dominate run game needed to put the Chargers on their heels. Philip Rivers is pretty much out of the MVP race with the season that Tom Brady is putting together but he's still put together an amazing season so far and I'm expecting that to continue this week.
